Hi there! 👋 Post-Easter energy is high and this weekend is genuinely packed. Concerts, mountain races, ballet in the open air, cherry blossoms in the mountains — there's something for everyone. Here are my three personal highlights I wouldn't miss for anything. 🌸

🗓 Saturday 11 April  ·  🕔 Women 17:00 / Men 17:30  ·  📍 Benalmádena Pueblo

This is one of my absolute favourites to watch as a spectator. The Calamorro Skyrace is part of the Merrell Skyrunner World Series — elite mountain runners launching straight up 650 m of vertical gain in the first 3.7 km, with the entire Costa del Sol spread out below them. The late afternoon start means golden-hour mountain drama and an awards ceremony at 22:00. You don't need to run to love this event — just show up and be amazed. FREE to spectate

🗓 Sat 11 (opening night) + Sun 12 (outdoor activity)  ·  📍 Teatro del Soho & Muelle Uno

Antonio Banderas' Teatro del Soho launches the inaugural Soho International Dance Festival this Saturday — four world-class companies (Malandain Ballet Biarritz, Bavarian Junior Ballet, Käfig, Lucía Lacarra Ballet) over nine days. But the moment I'm most excited about is Sunday at midday: around 500 students from Málaga dance schools will perform a free open-air ballet barre at Muelle Uno, right on the waterfront. It's going to be one of those magical Costa del Sol moments. Don't miss it ! Sun 12:00 FREE

🗓 Sunday 12 April  ·  🕙 11:00–20:00  ·  📍 Plaza de la Constitución, Alfarnate

Every year this tiny mountain village in the Axarquía transforms into a piece of Japan. The fifth edition of Sakura Alfarnate brings cherry blossoms, Japanese fashion, origami workshops, aikido exhibitions, pixel art, a sakura market, fantasy parades and hanami walks through the orchards. The combination of Málaga mountain scenery and Japanese culture is genuinely unique — nowhere else on the Costa del Sol offers anything like this. An hour's drive from the coast but absolutely worth every minute. FREE entry

🎸 Also not to miss: Saturday night is enormous — Barón Rojo (45th anniversary) at Sala París 15, Fyahbwoy at Trinchera, Brunch Electronik with Mathame & Massano, and Mario Morla Quintet at Clarence Jazz Club at 22:00. Pick your vibe !

Have a wonderful weekend on the Costa del Sol! ☀️

Andreea ❤️
